Albert Pujols is simply one of the best players to walk onto the field.He is a generational talent and all should be honored to watch him play.He has batting average and strikeout numbers in line with the likes of Tony Gwynn,he has power numbers and slugging numbers in line with Ralph Kiner,Jimmie Foxx,and Mantle.He is mentioned in the same breath as Dimaggio and Gehrig.He is a gold glove first baseman and has shown he has an all around knowledge of the game.His reaction test scores put him with the likes of Ruth.We marvel at his homeruns and his flair for the dramatic.Game 5 of the NLCS against Houston still gives us chills.His work ethic for a player of his calibur is unprecidented,he is a leader both on and off the field. A .334 hitter,1600 plus hits, close to 350 homeruns,almost 1000 runs scored,and more than 1000 RBI all within his first 9 seasons.He is also predominant in the community,the machine with a heart.This man lives for the sport,lives for his team,and we live to watch him play.
